Explorer Motor Yachts has achieved a major milestone with the delivery of its 70th Explorer 43 cruiser to owners in Norway.
The classic trawler-style motor yacht claims enthusiastic owners around the globe, plying rivers and lakes, bays and even oceans in search of adventure and simple boating enjoyment.
CEO Mark Campion says the Explorer 43 has sold into Australia, New Zealand, Norway, the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore.
“This mid-size cruiser has proven both her strength in large seas as well as her comfort for couples and families,” he says.
“Perhaps the most extraordinary adventure we have been told was a couple in Australia who cruised thousands of miles in a voyage from Sydney on the east coast across the ‘Top End’ to the wild and spectacular Kimberley region on the country’s west coast.
“This area is so remote that visiting friends had to helicopter into the Kimberley gorges, landing on rocks!”
The Explorer 43 is a two-cabin cruiser with single-level entertaining deck and expansive flybridge deck. She measures 43 feet and 10 inches (13.66 metres) overall with a maximum beam of 12 feet 11 inches (10.09 metres).
The boat is powered by optional single or twin turbo diesel engines.
The saloon deck includes a fully-equipped galley, lounge and dinette as well as a helm station. The aft cockpit is ideal for soaking up the sun while lazing at anchor or fishing.
“As a semi-custom builder, we also offer our clients the ability to add their own features to the boat,” says Campion. Some opt for a swim platform across the transom, some include a davit and tender on the flybridge deck. There are many internal options available to suit individual requirements.”
